Gluten Free Not so Naan Bread


love Flatbreads, but being Celiac I can no longer eat them and that is a real bummer. I played around in the kitchen and came up with the following substitute for Indian Naan Bread that does the trick. I describe this as Naan married Pancake and this is their love child. Not going to fool any Indians out there, but good Naan the less 🙂

Makes 6 Naans

2 Cups Gluten Free Flour

2 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Kosher Salt

2 Cups milk

1 Egg

1 tsp Vinegar

2 Tbsp Minced Garlic

Blend all ingredients together. Preheat a well seasoned cast iron pan or non stick pan over medium heat and pour 1/2 cup of batter into center of pan. Cook on one side until it firms up and then flip and cook second side to golden brown. Repeat until all batter is used.
